Trauma-Informed Classrooms:Tools & Techniques that Empower Educators

During this one-hour session, participants will learn how teaching staff can leverage trauma-informed strategies in the classroom to support ALL students. Participants will learn easy and effective trauma-informed strategies for the classroom and have the opportunity to engage with experts and peers.

 Learn the Basics
Participants will the basics of trauma-informed teaching before diving deeper into how to best implement trauma-informed strategies in the classroom. Participants will learn effective and easy-to-use trauma-informed tools to support ALL students.

This course is in partnership with the Massachusetts Schools Mental Health Consortium, The Teacher Collaborative, and the Shah Family Foundation.
  • John Crocker, M.Ed - Founder and Director of School MA School Mental Health Consortium (MASMHC), and Director of Methuen Public Schools.
  • Emily Soto -  Program Manager at The Teacher Collaborative. Emily is a former ESL teacher, with experience working with middle school and high school students in both charter and public schools in Boston.
  • Rachel Bloom - Rachel Bloom is a Program Manager at The Teacher Collaborative. Rachel is a former Special Education teacher, with experience working in charter schools in Boston.
