November Wellness Newsletter

The Teach for Wellness Newsletter is back!

We’ll be connecting with you monthly to share resources, tips, and tools to support SEL learning and instruction for you and your students.

Each month’s newsletter will be released by The Teacher Collaborative, a MA-based non-profit organization that brings PreK-12 teachers together from across Massachusetts to learn from each other, problem-solve collaboratively, and grow as leaders.

If you’d like to learn more about The Teacher Collaborative, or are interested in learning opportunities on additional topics other than SEL, please check out our website, www.theteachercollaborative.org.

COMING SOON: WEBINARS
Starting in January 2024, we will be offering a series of free, virtual webinars with local mental health and SEL experts. Stay tuned to learn about topics and registration!

Bringing SEL into your classroom doesn’t have to take hours of planning or content time! Rather than thinking of SEL as an additional to-do on your already-full plate, try to think of SEL as the plate itself

Looking for something low-lift to try tomorrow? Think of an existing place in your classroom routines or plans where you can add a reflection or quick debrief that targets one of the CASEL 5 Core Competencies.

Are your students working on a long-term project? Ask them to reflect on their organization and progress with specific connections to their own self-management.

Maybe your little ones will be in stations this week? Help them build some skills while you give instructions by modeling self-awareness and self-regulation.

Remember - lots of small steps can take you just as far as a few big ones!
